SPECIAL TEA COOKIES 
2-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
2 tablespoons sugar

Preheat oven to 400°F.

In large mixer bowl combine all ingredients except walnuts and granulated sugar. Blend well. Chill for easier handling.

Roll out on floured surface, half at a time, to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutter. Place on ungreased cookies sheets.

Combine walnuts and granulated sugar. Sprinkle each cookie with 1/2 teaspoon of mixture.

Bake at 400°F for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool.
