PERSIMMON COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 c. persimmon pulp
2 beaten eggs
1 tbsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. water
4 c. flour
2 c. nuts
2 c. raisins
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves

Mix all ingredients and bake on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
