FRESH STRAWBERRIES 
1 (9 inch) baked pie crust
3 boxes fresh strawberries, hulled
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. sugar
Few drops red food coloring
Cool Whip

Wash strawberries and drain on paper towels. Arrange 1 1/2 boxes well drained strawberries (points up) in pie shell. Combine sugar, cornstarch, and 1 1/2 boxes mashed strawberries in heavy saucepan. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to medium low; continue cooking until thicken and clear. Add few drops food coloring.

Pour over whole berries in pie shell. Cool. Serve with Cool Whip around edges; leave center open to shore red berries.
