BERRY COBBLER 
1 qt. fresh blackberries or blueberries
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 1/2 c. sifted whole wheat pastry flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
3/4 c. milk
3 tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Place berries in a greased 2 quart baking dish. Stir in the cinnamon, lemon juice and 1/2 cup sugar. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.

Combine eggs, milk, butter, vanilla and remaining 1/2 cup sugar. Combine dry ingredients with the egg mixture; beat just until lumps are gone. Pour evenly over fruit. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour uncovered or until the cake pulls from the sides of the pan.
