BAKED BREAD CUSTARD | |
2 c. milk, scalded 3 eggs Beat lightly with fork. Add: Pinch of salt Little nutmeg 1 tsp. vanilla Mix together thoroughly and add to milk, slowly stirring constantly. Cube bread to make 2 cupfuls. Put into a quart or 1 1/2 quart casserole and pour milk mixture over. I always add 1/2 or more cups of raisins to it. Bake at 250 degrees for 2 hours. |
