HALUSKI 
1 medium head cabbage
1 large onion (chopped)
1/4 lb. butter
1/2 c crisco oil
2 tbsp salt
pepper to taste
1-16 oz pkg wide noodles

Chop up cabbage fine, mix with onion. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add cabbage and onion mixture and blend well. Add salt, pepper and crisco oil, sauté until a little brown. Cook noodles according to package instructions and drain well. Add noodles to cabbage mixture and mix together well. Serve hot.

Makes 6 servings.

* Chopped kielbasi can be added for a casserole.
