PICKLES IN A BARREL 
1/4 box pickled spices
1/2 c. Kosher salt
Dry or fresh dill
1 c. cold water

Add cucumbers to large jar or crock with a cover. Add above ingredients and cover with enough water to cover cucumbers. Taste in a few days. If ok put in refrigerator, if not, leave a few more days and taste again. Add several cloves of garlic if you'd like.
