SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS 
1 lb. hamburger
1 egg
4 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. chopped onion
Salt & pepper to taste
Cooking oil
1 c. pineapple juice
3 tbsp. cider vinegar
1 tbsp. soy sauce
6 tbsp. water
1/2 c. sugar
1 can pineapple tidbits, drained
2 green peppers, cut in strips
Cooked rice (optional)

Combine hamburger, egg, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, onion, salt and pepper and shape into small balls. Fry balls in small amount of oil, drain. Heat 1 tablespoon oil and pineapple juice in another pan. Combine 3 tablespoons cornstarch, vinegar, soy sauce, water and sugar; stir this into pineapple juice mixture. Cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Add meatballs, pineapple and green pepper to sauce. Serve over hot rice.
