MAMMY'S COLE SLAW | |
1 med. cabbage, cut in half and wash in cool water 2 hard boiled eggs 1/2 tsp. dry mustard or prepared 1 tsp. black pepper 1 tsp. or more salt 1 celery, finely chopped (rib of celery) 1/2 c. sour cream 2 tbsp. vinegar Drain cabbage on paper towel and grate. Mammy always sliced the cabbage very thin with a very sharp knife. Mash 1 cooked egg with a fork. Add all the above ingredients and mix well. Pour over cabbage and chopped celery. Stir well before serving and slice egg and place on top. Serves 6 to 8. |
