STEAMED CRANBERRY PUDDING 
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. light molasses
1/2 c. hot water
1/2 lb. cranberries (2 c.)
1/2 c. flour

Sift 1 cup flour with salt and soda; mix molasses and water; add to flour. Add whole cranberries combined with 1/2 cup flour; mix well. Pour into greased double boiler and steam over very low heat 3 hours.

Serve with Brown Butter Sauce: Melt 1/2 cup butter over low heat; add 1/2 cup brown sugar and stir until dissolved. Add 1/2 cup cream and 1 teaspoon vanilla; heat slowly. Serve hot over warm pudding. Serves 6-8.
