GRANDMA'S STEAMED BROWN BREAD | |
1 c. rye flour (or white flour) 1 c. corn meal 1 c. graham (whole wheat) flour 3/4 tbsp. baking soda 3/4 c. molasses 2 c. sour skim milk Mix all ingredients. Turn into Pam-sprayed one pound size canned fruit tins or other molds. Cover and steam in a tightly covered pan with a rack for three hours. Serve hot or reheat to serve. Spread with soft corn oil butter. |
