SAUCEY SIRLOIN 
1 1/2 lbs. stew beef or sirloin
2 tbsp. shortening
1 can golden mushroom soup
3/4 c. water
2 tbsp. red wine
1 tbsp. garlic
1 med. bay leaf
1 pkg. frozen green beans

Trim meat and cut into 1 inch cubes. Brown in shortening. Pour out fat. Add all other ingredients EXCEPT green beans. Cover and cook 1 hour over low heat, stirring occasionally. Add beans and simmer 10 minutes longer.
