SPINACH AND CHEESE DUMPLINGS | |
2 loaves bread dough 8 or 9 oz. pkg. cheddar cheese 10 oz. frozen chopped spinach 1 tbsp. garlic powder 1 tbsp. olive oil 1/4 c. chopped scallions or onions Roll out the bread dough as thin as you can on a floured surface, cut into 2 inch squares. Cut cheese into chunks approximately 1/4 inch by 1 inch. Cook spinach as directed on package, when done squeeze out all liquid. Mix together garlic powder, olive oil, and onions with spinach. Place in each square of dough: 1 piece of cheese and 1 tablespoon of spinach mixture. Fold over 1 corner of square to form triangle, press out any air and seal edge with a drop of water. Fry or bake until golden brown and outside not doughy inside. |
