CONGO BARS 
2 3/4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. cooking oil
2 1/4 c. brown sugar (1 lb. pkg.)
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate bits
1 c. cut-up nuts
4 eggs

Stir brown sugar into cooking oil. Beat in eggs, one at a time. (Beat well after each egg.) Sift flour, baking powder and salt together; add gradually to egg mixture. Mix in chocolate bits and chopped nuts. Put in 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 x 3/4-inch pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
