MOM'S HOMEMADE ROLLS 
2 tbsp. sugar
2 c. scalded milk (cooled)
2 pkgs. yeast
1/2 c. warm water
5 c. flour
2 eggs (slightly beaten)
1/2 c. sugar
6 tbsp. shortening (melted)
2 tsp. salt

Dissolve yeast, milk, water and sugar. Stir in 5 cups flour, beat until smooth. Let rise, then add 2 beaten eggs, 1/2 cup sugar, 6 tablespoons shortening (melted), 2 teaspoons salt and flour (about 1 cup). Knead until smooth. Let rise again. Mold into rolls. Let rise. Bake 15 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees.
