STUFFED GREEN PEPPERS 
5 to 6 med. green peppers
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 can (drained) tomatoes
1/2 c. rice
1/4 c. fine bread crumbs
Salt/pepper to taste

Cut off tops of green peppers; clean out insides and wash. Mix ground beef, tomatoes, chopped, rice, bread crumbs, salt and pepper.

Stuff peppers with meat mixture to within 1/2 inch of top. Cook medium heat covered in dutch oven, keeping 1/2 inch water on bottom of pan. When meat begins to brown, put pepper tops on peppers and continue cooking on low heat covered, for a total of 3 hours cooking time.
