1 c. butter
1 c. salad oil
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

Chill dough, then roll in balls and space 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Smash with glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes.
