1 c. butter
1 c. oil
1 c. sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour (more if needed)
1 tsp. salt

Thoroughly cream oil, butter and sugars. Add vanilla and eggs. Sift all dry ingredients together and stir in. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and roll in granulated sugar. Press down on a lightly greased cookie sheet with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake 12 minutes at 350 degrees.
