TROPICAL BARS 
3/4 c. butter, melted
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
4 eggs, well beaten
1/2 c. flaked coconut
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
Powdered sugar, sifted

Combine 3/4 cup butter, 2 cups flour, and 1/2 cup powdered sugar; mix well and press into a well greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 25 minutes.

Combine next 7 ingredients; mix well. Spread filling over first layer while still hot. Bake an additional 40 to 45 minutes or until firm. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Yield: About 2 1/2 dozen.
