7 LAYER SALAD 
6 c. chopped lettuce
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
6 hard boiled eggs
10 oz. frozen peas
1 lb. fried bacon, dried and crumbled
2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1/2 c. green onion, chopped

Using large glass bowl or 9 x 13 pan, layer salad ingredients in order, starting and ending with 3 cup lettuce. Spread enough dressing on top to seal to edges of bowl. Serve remaining dressing on the side. Refrigerate a couple of hours.

DRESSING:

2 c. mayonnaise
2 c. sour cream
1 pkg. Original HIDDEN VALLEY® Buttermilk dressing mix

Blend thoroughly.

This salad is best when served the same day it is made. It does not need to season overnight. 2 cups lowfat cottage cheese blended smooth with 1 teaspoon lemon juice may be substituted for the sour cream.
