BRUGES MEATLOAF 
1 can (3 oz.) sliced mushrooms
Milk
2 eggs
1/2 c. chili sauce
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dried thyme leaves
1 c. dry bread crumbs
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground ham
1/2 lb. gouda or Monterey Jack cheese
1 tbsp. parsley

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Drain mushrooms well, reserving liquid. Set mushrooms aside. Combine liquid with enough milk to make 1 cup.

3. In large bowl, beat eggs lightly with a wire whip. Stir in milk mixture, chili sauce, Worcestershire, salt, thyme and bread crumbs. Whip until bread crumbs are thoroughly moistened.

4. Add beef and ham, mix just until well combined, using hands if necessary.

5. Place half the meat mixture in an 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inch baking dish. With moistened hands, shape into 9 1/2 x 5 inch rectangle.
