Daddy always made this at Christmas. It was such a very special treat! 4 1/2 cups sugar 1 cup (2 sticks) butter 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk 2 cups miniature marshmallows 1 large pkg. chocolate chips 2 cups chopped nuts Mix together sugar, butter and evaporated milk; bring to a rolling boil and cook at medium heat for 11 minutes, stirring constantly. Add marshmallows, chocolate chips, and nuts. Mix well and pour into buttered pan. Cool and cut. Makes 5 pounds. |
