SWEDISH CHRISTMAS COOKIES 
Cook 6 egg yolks until hard in hot salted water. Sift together 2 cups flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cream 3/4 cup shortening and gradually 3/4 cup sugar.

Add cooked egg yolks that have been put through a sieve and 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract.

Blend in 3 tablespoons cream and dry ingredients alternately. Roll to 1/8 inch thickness and cut into shapes. Place on greased baking sheet and bake in 375 oven 6-8 minutes or until delicately browned.
