BEEF STEAK POTATO SCALLOP SALT
PAPRIKA
 
1 lb. beef steak, floured
3 tbsp. shortening
3 sm. onions, sliced
3 tsp. flour
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. water
3 med. potatoes, sliced thin

Heat oven to 350 degrees; cut meat into 1 inch cubes. Coat with flour. Melt shortening in skillet; brown meat. Add onions; cook and stir until onions are tender. Pour into ungreased 2 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with 3 teaspoons flour and 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and pepper. Cover; bake 45 to 60 minutes or until tender. Increase oven to 450 degrees; arrange potatoes on meat. Sprinkle on salt and pepper and paprika. Cook for 30 minutes.
