THE SCHOLZ SUPER COOKIE 
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In large mixer bowl, combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract. Beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 9-11 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen 2 1/4 inch cookies.
