SUPER SUGAR COOKIE 
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt

Mix sugars, butter and oil well. Add eggs and mix. Sift flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt together. Add gradually to mixture. Add vanilla. May add almond or butter flavoring to taste. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Roll into walnut size balls and roll in sugar.

Flatten balls with cup or glass dipped in sugar. Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes approximately 3 1/2 to 4 dozen cookies.
