3 c. plain flour
2 sticks butter
5 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sweet milk
melted chocolate

Cream sugar, butter and Crisco; add eggs and flour, then add remaining ingredients. Don't beat too much. Leave 1/5 batter and add 2 tablespoons chocolate; swirl around in cake batter. Place in cold oven and set to 325°F for 1 1/2 hours.
