1 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, well beaten
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate chips

Cream together until fluffy: shortening, both sugars, and vanilla. Fold in 2 well beaten eggs. Sift together flour, soda, and salt. Add chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees.
