RUTABAGA CASSEROLE 
1 med. rutabaga
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. toast crumps
1 tbsp. brown sugar
White pepper to taste
Salt to taste
1/2 c. milk
1 egg
Nutmeg to taste

Peel, rinse and slice the rutabaga. Cook until soft and mash. Mix in the butter and 1 tablespoon of crumbs. Combine the milk and egg in a bowl and beat well. Add the beaten mixture, white pepper, sugar, salt and nutmeg to the rutabaga mixture. Pour into well greased casserole and sprinkle remaining crumbs and additional nutmeg on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.
