TASTY LITTLE PIZZA SNACKS 
1 lb. Italian sausage
1 lb. hot bulk pork sausage
1 c. chopped onion
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 tbsp. dried whole oregano
1 tbsp. fennel seeds
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1 (16 oz.) pkg. process American cheese, cut into small cubes
2 (8 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
3 (8 oz.) loaves party rye bread

Remove casing from Italian sausage; crumble into a large skillet. Add hot sausage, onion, and green pepper; cook until meat is browned. Drain well on paper towels. Return meat mixture to skillet, and add oregano, fennel seeds, and garlic powder; heat gently over low heat. Stir in cheeses; cook until melted, and remove from heat. Spread a scant tablespoon of meat mixture on each bread slice. Place slices in a single layer on large baking sheets; freeze. When slices are frozen, place in plastic bags and keep frozen until slices are needed. To serve, thaw and place on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 425 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Yields about 11 dozen.
