GRANDMA'S JUMBO RAISIN COOKIES 
2 c. Sunmaid Seedless Raisins
1 c. water
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. Spry
2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice
2 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped nuts

Add water to raisins and boil 5 minutes. (There should be 1/2 cup liquid left.) Cool and add soda. Blend Spry, salt and spices. Gradually add sugar, creaming thoroughly. Add eggs, vanilla and cooled raisin mixture.

Sift flour with baking powder and add, blending well. Add nuts, chill dough. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased and floured baking sheet. Bake in fairly hot oven (400 degree) 12-15 minutes.

Makes 6 dozen soft, puffy cookies.
