SEAFOAM CANDY | |
1 c. sugar 1 c. light corn syrup 4 tsp. baking soda Combine sugar and corn syrup in a large saucepan. Bring to a rapid boil to 300 degrees (hard crack stage) or until mixture assumes a light straw color. Remove from heat and add 4 teaspoons baking soda. Immediately turn into a well buttered pan. Let stand to cool. (Candy bubbles and foams up vigorously in pans before cooling.) Turn out and break into pieces. Dip pieces into melted chocolate chips, if desired. |
