RUSSIAN KRAUT 
1 med. head cabbage (shredded)
1 can sauerkraut (lg.) rinsed in cold water
1 ring Polish sausage (sliced)
1 med. onion (sliced)
1 med. can tomatoes
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1 sm. can water
4-5 peppercorn
3-4 bay leaves

Mix all ingredients together in a large pan and cook over medium heat 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Serve with rye bread. It couldn't be simpler.
