WHOLE WHEAT WAFFLES 
2 eggs
1 3/4 to 2 c. milk
1/4 c. shortening
2 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. Rumford's baking powder

Sift dry ingredients together. Beat eggs, add dry ingredients, then milk and shortneing. Beat lightly, bake in hot waffle iron until done. Makes about 4-5 large waffles.
