GRAPE SALAD
4 lbs green or red seedless grapes cut in half and spread into a 9x13 dish.

Dressing:

8 oz. cream cheese softened
8 oz. sour cream
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Topping:

1 c. sugar in the raw (you can use brown sugar or brownulated sugar)
1 c. chopped nuts; pecans or walnuts are best.

Mix all of the dressing ingredients until smooth and spread over grapes. You can have as many layers as you want. Sprinkle topping ingredients over all. Very easy and very, very good.

Got this from a sister whom I fellowship with. Quick easy and delicious. I'm so looking forward to this as my go to. Just need to add more pecans and make sure to smooth the cream cheese as much as possible.

I've made this several times and my family loves it. I don't slice the grapes and put the salad into a cut glass bowl. It not only looks pretty but is always a big hit

This is crazy good. The part I didn't like was slicing the grapes in half. I suspect that the people who left them whole and complained about the wetness just didn't like the work involved. That was my only complaint: cutting the grapes.
I have to call and have my groceries delivered and when the grapes came, I thought "what a bunch of grapes, must be four pounds here". Well, I weighed them. I had less than two pounds.
So I made the dressing at half of the recipe. It's wonderful. Now what do I do with all this cream cheese and sour cream?

I love this recipe. I had it at an open house and they sprinkled crushed butterfinger candy bar on the top and that was good too.

My grandson is allergic to nuts so I crushed pretzels and mixed... Even the "nut" lovers raved about it!

My girlfriend and I made this dish. We sampled it before serving and I felt like Mark Antony feeding Cleopatra, it was so finger lickin' good! We loved it and so did everyone else!

I've made this before, but for the topping I use English toffee pieces found in the baking section that are like Heath bars. It is so yummy!! I also cut down on the sugar and use low fat sour cream and 1/3 fat cream cheese.

I'm not even a grape "nut", but had this at a work party and it was the best fruit salad I have ever had. Leave the grapes whole, but don't change anything else. I had it with pecans and it was EXCELLENT!

I've made this MANY times and it's always a hit. Never cut the grapes! And there's no need to layer. Use both green and red grapes for color and use a trifle bowl for sheer elegance. I do Weight Watchers, so I substitute low-fat sour cream; 1/3 less fat cream cheese; 1/2 the amount of sugar (including the topping) and increase the vanilla to 2 tsp. No one knows the difference! I've also dumped the grapes into a large zip lock bag, then added the cream cheese mixture and tossed to coat. This is a GREAT way to transport it for a picnic. The zip lock bag fits easily into a cooler. Bring the topping in a separate small zip lock and assemble just before serving.

Had this at a covered dish last night, grapes were left whole - very good. Will make this myself soon.

We prefer the red grapes and definitely leave grapes whole. I put in a serving bowl rather than baking dish. One of my families favorites

Never made it but plan to very soon. Had it at a work party and it was to die for. Think she used yogurt though, and wouldn't give recipe.

Very yummy. I did substitute the low fat vanilla yogurt for the sour cream (it's what we had) and it was tasty. A bit runny so I may opt to leave the grapes whole next time, as previous person suggested. YUM!
