HAMBURGER SOUP 
1 lb. ground beef
5 c. water
1 (16 oz.) can canned tomatoes, cut up
2 med. chopped onions
2 med. sliced carrots
2 stalks diced celery
3 potatoes, diced
1/2 c. pearl barley
1/4 c. ketchup
1 tbsp. instant beef bouillon granules
2 tsp. basil, crushed, dried
1 bay leaf
Salt & pepper to taste
2 tsp. seasoned salt

Brown ground beef; drain. Add water, undrained tomatoes, onions, carrots, celery, barley, ketchup, bouillon, seasoned salt, basil and bay leaf. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered for 1 hour or until vegetables are tender. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Remove bay leaf. Serves 10.
