HONEY-NUT BREAD
1 c. skim milk
1 c. honey
1 1/4 c. whole wheat flour
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. acceptable butter
1 whole egg plus 2 egg whites, lightly beaten
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Vegetable oil spray

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a small saucepan, heat milk and honey over medium high heat until very warm, 120 to 130 degrees.

In large bowl, combine whole wheat and all-purpose flours, baking powder and salt. Add liquid mixture and beat. Add butter and eggs and continue beating until well blended. Fold in nuts.

Lightly grease two 9x5x3 inch loaf pans with vegetable oil spray. Pour in bread mixture and bake 45-60 minutes or until cake tester inserted into center of the loaf comes out moist, but not wet. Makes 2 loaves, 10 slices per loaf. Single slices can be wrapped in foil and frozen.
