NUT LOAF 
2 c. melted butter
3 eggs
2 c. sugar
1/3 c. sweet milk
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
Dash of cloves
1 lb. white raisins
1/2 lb. candied cherries
1 lb. dates
1/2 lb. candied pineapple
1 qt. pecans
2 pkgs. walnuts

Sift all dry ingredients, mix with nuts and fruit. Melt butter. Add sugar and beaten eggs, vanilla and milk. Pour over other ingredients. Stir until well mixed. Bake in tube pan at 300 degrees for about 3 hours.

After it browns good, I place foil over the top until it finishes cooking. When done, pour on top of cake while hot 1/2 cup grape juice. Repeat once a week until ready to eat.
