8 med. sized potatoes, cubed (4 c.)
4 med. sized tart apples, cubed (3 c.)
2 tbsp. butter
Salt to taste
1/4 c. dry whole grain bread crumbs
2 tbsp. melted butter

Cook potatoes and apples separately until tender. Mash potatoes. Add butter and salt to taste. Add cooked apples, tossing together lightly. Combine crumbs, butter and sprinkle over potato-apple mixture at serving time.
