FUDGE MELTAWAYS 
1/2 c. butter
1 sq. (1 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla (substitute peppermint flavor)
1 egg, beaten
2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1 c. coconut (omit for mint bars)
1/2 c. nuts (1 c. for mint bars)

Melt 1/2 cup butter and 1 square chocolate in saucepan. Blend sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla, egg, crumbs, coconut, and nuts into butter and chocolate mixture. Mix well and press into ungreased baking dish. (11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches). Refrigerate.

FILLING:

1/4 c. butter
1 tbsp. milk
2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla (substitute 1 1/2 tsp. peppermint)
Green food coloring

Mix well and spread over crumb mixture. Chill.

TOP:

1 1/2 sqs. unsweetened chocolate

Melt 1 1/2 squares chocolate and spread evenly over chilled filling. Chill again.
