SCHNITZEL BEANS 
2 (#2) cans green beans (drained)
4 slices bacon
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1 sm. onion (chopped)

Fry chopped bacon until brown. Add sugar and vinegar to bacon and fat. Cook until sugar is dissolved. Add green beans, simmer about 20 minutes. Add chopped onion.

This sauce is also good on spinach and other vegetables. Adds a little snap.
