5 lbs. sugar
2 1/2 c. water
40 red clover
40 white clover
18 roses
1 tsp. alum

Boil sugar and water for 3 minutes or until it becomes clear. Add clover and rose petals. Add alum. Let it come to a boil. Strain and put into jars.
