SIOUX CITY BAKED STEAK | |
1 sirloin steak, 3" thick 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 c. catsup 3 tbsp. Worcestershire 1/2 c. melted butter 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 clove garlic, minced 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms 1 lg. Bermuda onion Preheat broiler - place steak n shallow pan. Broil close to flame. Brown both sides. Remove. Set oven at 350 degrees. Season meat with salt and pepper. Combine catsup, Worcestershire, butter, lemon, garlic and mushrooms. Spread over meat. Arrange onions on top. Bake uncovered 1/2 hour for rare, little longer for medium. Cut meat diagonally into thin slices. Serves 6-8. |
