1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
3 c. flour or wheat
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. chocolate chips
1 c. nuts (walnuts or pecans)
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter flavoring
1 c. coconut

Mix ingredients in order for 10-12 minutes. Drop by tablespoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Makes 2 dozen medium cookies.
