GINGER CRINKLES | |
2/3 c. oil 1 c. sugar 1 egg 4 tbsp. molasses 2 c. sifted flour 1/4 c. granulated sugar (for dipping) 2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ginger Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix oil and sugar thoroughly. Add egg; beat well. Stir in molasses. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to other mixture. Chill for at least 1 hour, so dough is more easily handled. Roll into balls about 1 inch in diameter. Dip in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Cool on wire racks. Makes about 4 dozen cookies. Stores well. |
