CRINKLE GINGER SNAPS 
2 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
2 eggs
1 c. shortening
3 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
4 1/2 c. flour

Blend sugar and shortening, add beaten eggs and molasses. Sift flour with soda and spices. Add vanilla and flour mixture to the first four ingredients. Mix well.

Place little balls of dough on greased baking sheet. Flatten out slightly (a glass or cup moistened on the bottom and dipped in sugar works well). Bake at 375. Do not over bake. Cookies should crack at top, if not add more flour.
