HUNGARIAN GOULASH 
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 lb. hamburg
1 lg. can whole tomatoes
1/2 c. tomato juice (or paste)
1 c. elbow macaroni
Salt & pepper to taste

Brown onion slightly, then add beef and brown. Cut tomatoes up with a fork and add to meat and onion. Add salt and pepper to taste. Simmer, skimming off grease periodically as necessary. Cook macaroni according to package directions (for casserole about 7 minutes). Drain and add to meat and tomatoes. Simmer for 1/2 to 1 hour. If mixture tends to dry out, add tomato juice.
