GINGER SNAPS 
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
4 tbsp. molasses
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. flour

Make into small balls, flatten and dip top side in sugar. Bake in moderate oven.
