GRANDMA GUERINA BERRA'S
MACEDONIA DI FRUTTA
 
2 pears
2 peaches
2 apricots
1 banana
1 glass white wine
2 or 3 slices pineapple
Fresh berries in season
Juice of 1 lemon
2 c. sugar
1 glass sherry wine

Mix the sugar, wines and lemon juice together. Set aside. Cut the fruit into pieces and arrange attractively in a glass serving dish. Pour the sugar syrup over the fruit. Set in refrigerator for at least an hour before serving. Grandma would embed the beautiful glass bowl into a bigger bowl of crushed ice. She served the fruit over Sponge or Angelfood cake.
