WORLD'S BEST OATMEAL COOKIES 
3 eggs, well beaten
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. oats
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Combine eggs, raisins and vanilla and let stand for 1 hour. Cream together shortening, brown sugar and white sugar. Sift flour, salt, soda and cinnamon into sugar mixture and mix well. Blend in eggs and raisins. Add oats and chopped pecans. Dough will be stiff. Drop by small spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
